WILTSHIRE

Urchin
5km NE of Cape Barrier, Great Barrier Island
Depth: 3-30m
Sunk in 1922, the Wiltshire has split in two and both sections lie alongside each other. Big pieces of hull and superstructure are easily found. Start at the deeper end and work towards the shallows. Usually large schools of fish over and around the wreck which is covered in encrusting life. Best dived when the wind is nor-west and no easterly swell.
