Hermit Crab |
Depth: 0-12m (shore dive)
Enter the
water via the little harbour that has been quarried out. A series of
rocks and reefs stretch out from Te Arai Point with a few kahawai
and the occasional crayfish under the ledges. Some kelp and a few
mussels attached to the rocks. The area is surrounded by sandy
patches with a few scallops. A lot of living and dead shells here,
some with bright orange hermit crabs in residence.
