CAPE KARIKARI

Green Wrasse
North end of the Karikari Peninsula, NORTHLAND
Depth: 0-20m
Best accessed by boat, the series of bays and headlands offer some excellent diving. If it’s a bit rough on one side, try the other side. Plenty of kingfish and school fish, especially where the current runs a bit. Lots of colourful walls and cracks for crayfish, both red and green. The sandy bay off Karikari Beach usually has a few scallops at 10-20m.
